Lebanese Excellence Award 2010 – 2011

Under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Lebanon, General Michel Sleiman, the distribution ceremony took place on 15 February 2012 at the Presidential Palace in Baabda, Lebanon. The Lebanese Excellence Award is an initiative that aims at increasing the competitiveness of the Lebanese economy.


Lebanese Excellence Award

The Lebanese Excellence Award is granted to organizations demonstrating continuous improvement when evaluated against the Lebanese Quality Management Model (LQMM).

Unipak Tissue Mill received the Lebanese Excellence Award 2010 – 2011 for implementing the following four mature approaches that assess the operational side of an organization:

Managing resources while preserving natural resources, as well as the health and safety of its people
Developing human resources strategies and plans, as well as job designs, compensation and recognition systems
Monitoring sales and using surveys to determine customer’s satisfaction
Designing, effectively managing, improving, allocating processes to owners and reviewing them systematically

QUALEB, a European Union-funded project and division of the Lebanese Ministry of Economy & Trade, managed the 2010 – 2011 award program. QUALEB provides the necessary support and guidance to sustain quality in Lebanon. Absi Co produced the Award for the second consecutive year for the Lebanese Ministry of Economy.
